A big win for Bartolo and Vlad Jr. keeps us on our toes

Earlier this week the baseball world was on ridiculously high alert when an Instagram picture of Vladi. Jr. at JFK International Airport went viral and every beisbolero was wondering if the HOFer’s kid was headed to the big show.

It turns out his troll game is as strong as his approach at the plate. The Instagram post has since been taken down, but the world melted for a few hours considering the possibilities.

Big Sexy onE Win Away

Bartolo Colón who turns 45 next week threw 7.2 scoreless innings Wednesday and now just one win away from tying Juan Marichal for the most all-time wins by a pitcher from the Dominican Republic. Oh, and he also stopped a ball with his belly in this game.

El Mago’s Magic

Javy Báez continued to show us why they call him ‘El Mago’ sliding safely into second on his cross-town rival White Sox in a heads up play from the illusionist.

David Robertson couldn’t contain his laughter watching teammate Masahiro Tanaka whiff on the Nationals Gio Gonzalez’ curve ball.

Tough Break, Worse News

Robinson Canó had a bad week. First, he was hit on the hand and suffered a fracture that was expected to cost him significant time. Then MLB and the MLBPA announced an 80-game suspension for the eight-time All-Star second baseman. Canó responded with statements in English and Spanish.
