Yasiel Puig was thrilled to be back in Los Angeles on Monday night. He was also excited to round the bases after taking Clayton Kershaw deep in his first at bat.
Big Papi congratulates runners
The David Ortiz Children’s Fund celebrated runners finishing the Boston Marathon on Monday. Their team, which used #PinchRun4Papi on social media, raised money to support children receiving critical cardiac services.
Philly Special
The United States will turn 250 years old in 2026, and Philadelphia is doing its best to turn the sports world upside down. They’re trying to get every all-star game in the city that year, and an announcement on Tuesday means MLB’s midsummer classic will return to the city of brotherly love in seven years.

2012 – Kendrys Morales hits a three-run homer off Brandon McCarthy. It’s Morales’ first homer since breaking his ankle celebrating a walk-off grand slam on May 29, 2010. Morales missed the rest of 2010 and all of 2011 recovering from the injury.
2009 – Jorge Posada is the first batter to hit a home run in the new Yankee Stadium, a solo shot off winning pitcher Cliff Lee in the 5th inning. The Yankees would lose to the Indians 10-2 however.
2006 – Albert Pujols hits three home runs, including a game-winning two-run blast, leading the Cardinals to an 8-7 victory over.
