A Somber Anniversary

Today marks the 46th anniversary of the special election that voted Roberto Clemente into the National Baseball Hall of Fame posthumously.

Eloy gets paid

The Chicago White Sox are reportedly making a significant commitment to their top prospect. Eloy Jiménez and the team have reportedly agreed on a deal that should have the young outfielder in the Opening Day lineup on Chicago’s south side.

Season Opening Slam

Domingo Santana, who was traded to the Mariners on New Year’s Eve, didn’t waste time making an impact for his new team. He hit the first grand slam of the 2019 regular season early this morning in Japan against the A’s.

The Mariners beat the A’s 9-7, making this morning’s season opener the highest scoring Major League Baseball game ever played in Japan.
