A Somber Anniversary
Today marks the 46th anniversary of the special election that voted Roberto Clemente into the National Baseball Hall of Fame posthumously.
Today was a momentous day, but one clouded by sadness, in 1973 when Roberto Clemente was elected to the Hall of Fame in a special election just months after his tragic death. https://t.co/8oWnoveBzE pic.twitter.com/lJaYjOfLYt

Eloy gets paid
The Chicago White Sox are reportedly making a significant commitment to their top prospect. Eloy Jiménez and the team have reportedly agreed on a deal that should have the young outfielder in the Opening Day lineup on Chicago’s south side.
Eloy deal with #WhiteSox will be six years, $43M with two club options, source tells The Athletic.

The $43M for Jimenez is a record for a player already in MLB minors but who had yet to play an MLB game. #Phillies signed Scott Kingery to a 6-yr, $24M deal last year.
