Clemente kicks, Bronx-bound Beltrán and Garcia’s corazón
By Andy Martinez

Beltrán returns to the Big Apple
Carlos Beltrán is making his return to the Big Apple. Tuesday, he was named a special adviser to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman. Beltrán, who played with the Yankees from 2014 to 2016, is managed by Dan Lozano, who also happens to be Manny Machado’s agent. After the White Sox signed Manny Machado’s brother-in-law, Yonder Alonso, could this be a move for the Yankees to gain some leverage of their own in the Machado sweepstakes?
García’s big heart
Pitcher and free agent Jaime García recently hosted around 50 children from Miguel Alemán – a farming community around 45 minutes outside of Hermosillo, where the former Cardinal has been playing winter ball. García gifted the children a tour of Estadio Sonora, tickets to the game, cool merch and a variety of beisbol’s culinary classics: popcorn, nachos, tacos and churros! With a 1.93 ERA in the league to date, here’s a nice guy we think will indeed finish first..
Andrus, Rangers celebrate Christmas
Elvis Andrus and su familia spent yesterday exploring the Texas Rangers’ Enchanted Christmas at Globe Life Park. Andrus signed autographs for fans and then strolled around Globe Life Park with his son, Elvis Emilio, and wife, Cori. We’d love an Andrus’ signature in our stocking.
