Romero in charge

On Sunday the Red Sox relieved Dave Dombrowski of his duties as president of baseball operations. Boston is elevating four individuals to fill the responsibilities of Dombrowski until the end of the season, including assistant general manager Eddie Romero. The San Juan, Puerto Rico native has been with the organization for 14 years. Raquel Ferreira, Brian O’Halloran and Zack Scott are being elevated with Romero according to reports.
