Never Forget

On Tuesday across Major League Baseball teams remembered the lives lost and the sacrifices of first responders on Sept. 11, 2001 in New York City, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. Dellin Betances of the Yankees and the Mets were among those who paid tribute on their social media channels this week.

Houston stare down

José Altuve hit a home run in Detroit and continued the Astros’ team-wide staring contest with the nearest camera.

Edgar congratulates Yadi

Seattle Mariners legend Edgar Martínez took to Instagram to voice his support of fellow Boricua Yadier Molina, the Cardinals’ nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award.

Flying the wrong direction

Finally, the Cubs had to fly from Chicago to Washington D.C. to make-up one game against the Nationals on Thursday despite Hurricane Florence bearing down on the east coast. Thankfully the Cubs’ players were able to have a sense of humor as they boarded the team flight.
