The Diamondbacks supported Ketel Marte‘s place on the final All-Star Game ballot in style. Specifically, Marte’s style.
They did what?
This might be the circus catch of the year.

OTD
2008 – Carlos Delgado had a day in a 15-6 win over the Yankees. The Mets first baseman drove in nine, a new Mets franchise record; Delgado hit a grand slam (the 12th of his career) a three-run homer and a two-run double. The Mets beat the Yankees 15-6.
2002 – One of the most infamous trades in the histories of the Indians and Expos franchises was consummated. Cleveland sent ace Bartolo Colon to Montreal for first baseman Lee Stevens and three minor leaguers: Brandon Phillips, Cliff Lee and Grady Sizemore. Phillips, Lee and Sizemore would appear in 10 combined All-Star Games and win six combined Gold Gloves. Lee would win the 2008 Cy Young Award while with the Indians.
1971 – Roberto Clemente reached 1,200 career RBI in style. Pinch hitting in a tie game in the eighth inning, Clemente became only the sixth player in the 33-year history of Veterans Stadium to hit a home run into the upper deck in centerfield. The home run gives Pittsburgh a 10-9 victory in the second game of a doubleheader.
