We know the stats. Latino ball players make up close to 30% of all Major League Baseball. It's a number that has been increasing steadily since 1947 when Latinos accounted for a whopping 0.7% of the major league rosters.

Times are changing and audiences everywhere expect more diverse representation in the media they consume. Baseball broadcasts are included in that. In an article for The Athletic called, Changing the narrative: The lack of diversity in baseball’s broadcast booths, writer Fabian Ardaya points out the ways in which MLB is missing the diversity mark.

We brought the topic to La Vida Baseball Live and Ozzie Guillén Jr. shared his thoughts on how the league can improve in this department.
