Locker Room Talk: Latinx in Sports founder Alana Meraz

Alana Meraz is the founder of Latinx in Sports, a platform aimed to foster relationships and forge connections within the Latinx community and the world of professional sports. The first of its kind, Alana and her partner set forth to create a platform that connects working Latinx professionals with young students and aspiring talent in the sports space, as Latinx in Sports helps the next generation of Latinx job seekers navigate the landscape. Alana talks about the first time she got the inkling of an idea to launch her social and career-minded platform, Latinx in Sports. As she describes to Locker Room Talk hosts Julie Alexandria and Jennifer Mercedes, it all started with just one networking call, and the power of networking proved to be the catalyst that launched it all. She also shares how and why she came up with the idea to create Latinx in Sports during Hispanic Heritage Month.
