2018 – George Springer ties Hall of Famer Joe Morgan’s Astros game record for hits by going 6 for 6 in a 16-2 win over the Athletics.

2014 – Adrián Beltré hits his 100th homer as a member of the Rangers, becoming only the fifth player to hit 100 or more homers with three different teams. (Beltré previously went yard 100 times with the Dodgers and Mariners.) The four others to do so: Darrell Evans, Reggie Jackson, Alex Rodriguez and Jim Thome.

2014 – Third baseman Nolan Arenado matches a Rockies record by extending his hitting streak to 27 games in a 9-2 win over the Rangers.

2010 – Starlin Castro becomes the first player born in the 1990s to appear in a major league game and the youngest shortstop in Cubs history at age 20. He hit a three-run homer in his first at-bat and a bases-loaded triple in leading the Cubs to a 14-7 win over the Reds. Castro establishes a new modern record for RBI in a major league debut with six, becoming the sixth player in Cubs history homer in his first at-bat.

2008 – Minnesota outfielder Carlos Gómez hits for the cycle as the Twins hammer the White Sox 13-1. Gomez is the first Twins player to hit for the cycle since Kirby Puckett in 1986.

2005 – Atlanta’s Julio Franco becomes the second-oldest player in major league history to homer at 46 years, 257 days.

1999 – Carlos Lee becomes the first player in Chicago White Sox history to homer in his first major league at-bat.
