MLB on the World Cup bandwagon

Baseball players, coaches and managers are fans of the beautiful game. During the World Cup, many are making their favorite teams and players known through their social media accounts.
For some it’s an easy choice. Miguel González, Joakim Soria and Ricky Renteria of the White Sox are proudly wearing the colors of Mexico.
Francisco Cervelli was caught kicking a (base)ball around by the Pirates on Instagram.
Not every player’s home country is in the World Cup, but the guys are still making their picks known. In Chicago, Colombian José Quintana has apparently recruited Javy Baez for the tournament.
Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina can’t cheer for Puerto Rico, so he’s riding with Spain.
Similarly, Cuba doesn’t have a team in the tournament but that hasn’t stopped Yasiel Puig from picking El Tri.
And Kansas City’s Salvador Pérez opted to throw it back to a time when Venezuelan teammates broke out a soccer ball during batting practice.
